Reporting from September 2025 revealed that the now-“Border Czar” Tom Homan had accepted $50,000 in cash last year in an undercover FBI operation after indicating he would help business agents (undercover FBI agents) gain government contracts in a second Trump administration.
The Department of Justice (“DOJ”) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (“FBI”) officially acknowledged that it closed this investigation into Homan.
Democracy Forward Foundation (“DFF”) filed expedited FOIA requests with the DOJ and FBI seeking the video recording of an exchange between FBI agents and Horman in 2024.
What We Received
DFF filed a lawsuit that seeks an order requiring the DOJ and FBI to grant expedited processing and promptly release the non-exempt portions of the recording. We will update this page as we receive new information.
