Steven Hemingway

Operations Associate

Steven Hemingway is an Operations Associate for Democracy Forward.

Prior to joining Democracy Forward, Steven worked at SES, where he managed scheduling, communications, and day-to-day office operations. He previously interned with Democracy North Carolina, where he organized public advocacy events, lobbied elected officials, and supported community engagement initiatives to fight against discriminatory legislation in the North Carolina General Assembly. He is passionate about strengthening democratic participation and advancing good governance.

Steven received his M.S. in Political Science from Uppsala University in Sweden and B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina Asheville. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, he is now based in Maryland.
