Senior Litigation Paralegal

Steven Guillen is a Senior Litigation Paralegal at Democracy Forward. Before joining Democracy Forward, Steven served as a Litigation Paralegal in the Office of General Counsel at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). There, he provided extensive litigation and research support to FINRA’s Corporate Litigation, Labor & Employment, and Oversight Liaison & Counsel teams, working collaboratively across departments to ensure timely and accurate regulatory responses. Prior to joining FINRA, Steven worked as a Litigation Paralegal at Ogletree Deakins. Where he supported a national team of attorneys in managing all stages of complex federal and appellate cases, including discovery, pleadings, and motion practice. His work involved extensive legal research, drafting, and document management to support high-stakes employment litigation across a wide variety of jurisdictions. Steven earned his B.A. with Honors in Political Science from California State University with minors in International Politics and Religious Studies.
