Schuyler Asman

Director of Operations

Schuyler Asman is the Director of Operations at Democracy Forward.

He brings more than 10 years of experience leading operations strategy, complex project management, and organizational development across multiple higher education institutions. As a dynamic operations leader, Schuyler has worked to align infrastructure with institutional priorities and consistently drives strategic initiatives that enhance cross-functional collaboration and long-term resilience.

Most recently, Schuyler served as the Senior Director at the Hopkins Bloomberg Center, where he launched a newly constructed, 420,000-square-foot, world-class facility, anchoring Hopkins’ presence in Washington, D.C. His career portfolio includes facilities management, space use planning, security and emergency management, design and construction, IT services, and vendor relations. He is also deeply committed to inclusive design and accessibility, partnering with design teams to ensure adaptive, user-centered spaces.

Schuyler holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership & Policy from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy & Administration from Western Oregon University.
