Melissa Pearson is the People & Culture Manager for Democracy Forward.
Prior to joining Democracy Forward, Melissa served as Senior HR Manager at Community Sponsorship Hub, where she developed the HR infrastructure and scaled recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and the overall employee experience. Prior to that, she has also worked on the HR teams at Bonfire, Polaris Project, and Overtime where she managed HR information systems, payroll, benefits, and culture initiatives.
She received her M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Brooklyn College. With extensive experience in Human Resources across mission-driven organizations and startups, Melissa is committed to creating inclusive work environments, promoting employee engagement, and optimizing HR processes to drive organizational success.
