Laura Aguilar is a Democracy 2025 Legal Fellow at Democracy Forward.
Prior to joining Democracy Forward, Laura clerked on the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. She earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. from Harvard College. While in law school, Laura served as an Executive Editor of the Harvard Law Review and Vice President of the American Constitution Society. She also participated in the Democracy and Rule of Law Clinic and the Election Law Clinic. During her summers, Laura interned with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and the Office of the White House Counsel. Before law school, Laura worked for the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee and for U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren. She also worked as an organizer, regional organizing director, and deputy data director on the Hillary for America presidential campaign. Laura is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
