Karla Salazar

Gift Processing Specialist

Karla Salazar is the Gift Processing Specialist at Democracy Forward.

Prior to joining Democracy Forward, she worked as a Family Support Coordinator within the Post Release Services program at Mary’s Center, where she provided case management and critical support to Unaccompanied Children as they adjusted to life in the U.S. Additionally, she has interned at Catholic Charities in the Volunteer Engagement Office and at the District of Columbia Department of Human Resources. Karla is passionate about supporting efforts that ensure communities have a voice in shaping policies that impact their lives.

She holds a B.S. in Sociology and Human Services from Mount St. Mary’s University. She hopes to pursue advanced studies in the future.
