Cari Simon is Senior Director for Community and Engagement at Democracy Forward.
Cari is an attorney and advocate with over two decades of experience advancing gender equity, reproductive freedom, and the rights of survivors of sexual violence. Prior to joining Democracy Forward, Cari served as policy counsel and senior attorney at a national victims’ rights law firm, where she represented survivors in civil rights and Title IX matters and advanced national and state policy initiatives focused on educational access. Earlier in her career, Cari spent several years serving on Capitol Hill, including as Director of the U.S. Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus.
Cari graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School and clerked for Judge Morgan Christen on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
