Ben Seel is Counsel & Legal Analyst for Democracy Forward with a focus on justice, national security, immigration, and health care issues.
Ben Seel joined Democracy Forward from Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, where he was a litigation associate. His time at Milbank included pro bono work focused on criminal justice, civil rights, and immigration matters, as well as civil litigation connected to corporate financial restructurings, including through the bankruptcy process. Prior to law school, Ben spent time researching arms control and nuclear nonproliferation issues, and also worked as a community organizer with Organizing for America and a Maine-based non-profit focused on environmental issues.
A native of Maine, Ben holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. in History from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Ben is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
