Astrid Dorélien

Astrid joins Democracy Forward from the U.S. Department of State, where she served as a Senior Congressional Advisor in the Bureau of Legislative Affairs.  In that role, she developed and helped implement the Department’s strategic engagement with Congress on key priorities.  Prior to this role, Astrid oversaw implementation of key pillars of the U.S. Government’s strategy following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.  Astrid has over 15 years of experience in the federal government and started as a Presidential Management Fellow at the Department of Housing and Urban Development.  She earned a J.D. from Georgetown Law and an M.P.H. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
