Ashley Patterson

Ashley Patterson is Chief of Executive Operations and Program Integration at Democracy Forward.

She brings nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, and operations across the nonprofit, private, and academic sectors. Her experience spans leadership across organizations including The Luupe, Shutterstock, IBM, global innovation consultancy Fahrenheit 212, and WITNESS, a human rights organization that uses video to document and expose abuses around the world. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer at The Luupe, a global marketplace for creative production. A lifelong advocate for equity and social justice, Ashley serves on the board of Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility and believes that when government is held accountable, everyone benefits.

She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds an M.A. in Strategic Communication from Columbia University, where she has served as adjunct faculty in the School of Professional Studies.
