Andrea Pino-Silva is the Web Manager at Democracy Forward.

A policy and digital strategist, she is committed to uniting grassroots organizing with accountable community engagement to build more accessible and impactful digital pathways for social movements. The granddaughter of refugees, Andrea comes to Democracy Forward with over a decade of experience in movement communications, leading web and digital strategy at national nonprofit organizations including the National Center for LGBTQ Rights, Community Justice, and most recently, Freedom House. Andrea believes in the power of stories behind movements and their unique power to mobilize “everyday activism.” She began her career as a student organizer, using digital tools to mobilize students to demand their rights under Title IX. She is co-founder of End Rape on Campus, a national survivor advocacy organization and is co-author of the book “We Believe You: Survivors of Campus Sexual Assault Speak Out.”

Andrea Pino-Silva holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
