Adam Grogg is Senior Counsel at Democracy Forward. Adam joined Democracy Forward from the Federal Programs Branch, in the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice, where he served as Trial Attorney from 2013-2017 and defended constitutional and statutory challenges to federal policies and programs. Prior, Adam served as Lecturer in Law and the San Francisco Affirmative Litigation Project Fellow at Yale Law School, co-leading a student clinic with Prof. Heather Gerken that partners with the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office to bring civil rights and consumer protection litigation. Adam clerked for Judge Sidney R. Thomas, of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and Judge Ellen S. Huvelle, of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Adam holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, an MPhil from Oxford University, where he was a Marshall Scholar, and a B.A. from Williams College.
Adam is a member of the D.C. Bar and the New York Bar.
