Corey Ciorciari is the Policy and Strategy Director for Democracy Forward, responsible for overseeing the organization’s policy and research teams.

Prior to joining Democracy Forward, Corey served as a policy advisor to Secretary Hillary Clinton, managing a national policy portfolio on her presidential campaign that included criminal justice, immigration, gun violence prevention, K-12 education, and family-centric economic issues. Corey also served as a policy advisor to Rahm Emanuel as a mayoral candidate, mayor-elect, and mayor of Chicago. Corey started his career on then-Senator Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign.

A native of New York, Corey holds a J.D. from New York University and a B.A., summa cum laude, in economics and international relations from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.

As Policy and Strategy Director, Corey will focus on policy, research, and communications and will not be practicing law.
